How to cook sausage

 Is there a tastier snack than a nice hot dog ? Despite being a super simple dish, the process can have some technical problems, such as when the sausage bursts and opens during cooking — I bet this has happened to you!

And the topic was discussed on The Chef with Edu Guedes, who delivered the culinary trick so that this never happens again. The secret? Place the sausage to cook in cold water. "This way, it cooks from the inside out, along with the water", explains the chef.


Tomato Sauce:

  • 3 tablespoon(s) of olive oil
  • 1 cup of chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup of chopped pepper
  • 2 clove(s) of garlic, chopped
  • 1/2 cup of chopped tomato
  • 2 cups of tomato sauce
  • 2 tablespoons of ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon(s) of mustard
  • salt to taste
  • 3 tablespoons of chopped parsley

Cheddar Sauce:

  • 2 cups of fresh cream
  • 1 and 1/2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese
  • salt to taste

Assembly:

  • 6 units of hot dog bread
  • 6 units of boiled sausages
  • 1 and 1/2 cup(s) of straw potato tea

Method of preparation

Tomato sauce: In a hot pan with olive oil, sauté the onion, pepper, garlic and tomato well. Add the tomato sauce, ketchup and mustard. Stir until it becomes a uniform sauce. Season with salt, add the parsley and set aside.

Cheddar sauce: Heat the fresh cream in a pan. Add the cheddar cheese and stir until it melts, fully incorporating it into the cream. Season with salt and pepper. Reserve.

Assembly: Spread the tomato sauce on the bread, add the sausage, drizzle with cheddar sauce, cover with straw potatoes and serve.
